PoDIUM attended the IEEE SDF-MFI Conference and won third place in the best student paper award

PoDIUM was delighted to present a paper in the IEEE combined SDF and MFI Conference 2023. The conference was held in Bonn, Germany, from 27 to 29 November and delved into the applications of robotics, data fusion, automation and intelligent systems. Experts in industry, academy, and research institutions took part in the event to exchange on the topic of sensor data fusion and share on the latest techniques and applications in the field.

Alexander Scheible from Ulm University took part in Session 5a ‘Target Tracking II’ and presented a paper written in the framework of the EU project PoDIUM and EVENTS and the German projects AUTOtech.agil and LUKAS. Titled ‘Track Classification for Random Finite Set Based Multi-Sensor Multi-Object Tracking’, the paper focuses on data fusion and the object classification of the digital twin.

We are very proud to announce that the paper secured the third place for the best student paper award, a recognition honouring the contributions of student researchers in the field.

You can find the presentation here. The paper will be available soon on the PoDIUM website under ‘Publications’.
