PoDIUM showcases improved urban safety at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025

From 4 to 6 November, PoDIUM was showcased at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, the leading global event for cities and urban innovation. This year’s edition gathered over 27,000 attendees, 1,190 exhibitors, 592 speakers and representatives from 138 countries.

Represented by ETRA and our Barcelona partners, PoDIUM was featured at the Barcelona City Council stand, where visitors could learn more about our Spanish Living Lab, with a focus on the use case demonstrated in Barcelona. The use case showcases how Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and Physical and Digital Infrastructure (PDI) technologies can improve urban safety and traffic efficiency.

Throughout the event, participants could learn more about the use case through a dedicated video in Catalan, Spanish and English and a presentation introducing PoDIUM’s work and achievements, highlighting how local collaboration contributes to safer, smarter urban mobility.

The Smart City Expo World Congress represented a unique opportunity to present PoDIUM’s results with leading innovators from around the world, reinforcing the project’s contribution to advancing CCAM and making our roads safer.
