PoDIUM at DG CONNECT workshop

PoDIUM will take part in a workshop organised by DG CONNECT on “Study on the Economic Potential of Far Edge Computing in the Future Smart Internet of Things” on 22 June from 10:00 to 15:30.
The workshop will focus on exploring the economic and environmental impact of far edge computing in the context of the Internet of Things (IoT), with discussions on the scope, definitions, and enabling technologies related to far edge computing.The workshop will also discuss the position of Europe in this context. Key edge applications in various sectors such as automotive, mobility, security and defense, and energy will also be explored.
PoDIUM’s presentation will focus on how edge computing and AI can support mobility use cases, in addition to an overview of the project.
